Postcard from 113 St

I'm packed and ready to fly away. Again.
This time, it'll be easier on the nerves.
Instead of a gruelling 30-hour flight,
It'll be 21 hours or so.

I haven't accomplished much on the tourist checklist.
I didn't go to the Empire State Building, or Macy's, or see the Statue of Liberty.
I did however sip awful coffee with aspiring actors, writers and directors; go to yum cha, the karaoke; do the museum mile; walk fucking thirty-something blocks as a result of miscalculation; have burgers at Tom's Diner for breakfast, hotdogs for lunch, and peruvian-inspired sushi for dinner; choose Gypsy over Chicago and Boy from Oz; experience a downtown chi-chi bar where the men are old and girls are young; eat an ice cream in Central Park; taken a taxi everywhere.
I do love New York.

Hope all's well at home xxx

ps: Australians are hot here. Really.
