actually, i think you're bored. like you are searching for something meaningful (then again, who isn't)?
Posted by: TVpoison on May 6, 2003 7:20 PMcurious - what makes you say that?
Posted by: E on May 7, 2003 6:17 PMyour poems comes across as something written by a person's who's not entirely at ease with her present surrounds. you lament some times, expecting more. Sometimes the days just drag on like drying paint on a hot sweaty summer's day. it's like you are almost tired of waiting/looking/searching, and you are so close to just "giving in" to whatever's on your plate now. then something happens and you recover your optimism somewhat, albeit temporarily.
well, am i right?
Posted by: TVpoison on May 8, 2003 2:39 AMYou do have a way of sounding distinctly un-perky at times, I have to admit. Your metaphors tend not to suggest immediate, intoxicating here-and-now bliss. And I'd hope you manage to get at least a bit of that now and then, even if it's just a goddamn pannacotta.
Posted by: Alex on May 8, 2003 2:25 PMhmm. yes. i'm a victim of inertia - not that it's any excuse really. but i also tend to write when i'm unhappy, which explains the relative proportion of grimacing lines.
